I'm so glad you're here!

I'm Karly! I'm a creative with a passion for words and believe that with the right delivery, anything is possible. I love partnering with businesses that look to empower, help, and inspire their audience. I'd love to be part of your success story.

How can I help you?

Wait, this is supposed to be "about me" isn't it? Yes, keep reading! Good copy is creative and eye catching. Effective copy engages with and calls for action from your audience - which is key in growing any business, right?  The best copy encompasses all of these tactics. And that’s exactly what you’ll get with me.

Great! How can a creative help grow a business?

With the same tenacity and creativity I've used to grow myself as an artist and writer. Creativity and innovation go hand in hand. In business, creative thinking inspires and innovates leading to unexpected solutions and turns challenges into opportunities. It’s what separates industry leaders from their peers and leaves us looking to them for new ideas. In short, creative output benefits the consumer which benefits your business. As a copywriter, I'll make sure your benefit is always clear.

Still not sold on how my artistic lens translates into great copy?

My creativity goes far beyond artistic value. My creative process is kinetic - I'm constantly discovering and evaluating the nuances of every word and how they fit into context. More importantly, I use this process to cut through the noise and connect with your audience. In other words, creative thinking is invaluable when it comes to ensuring your messaging is aligned with your brand and mission. That's the way I'll approach working with you: with the goal of keeping your business true to you and resonating your audience.

Anything else?

Did I mention I love writing and editing? I am the co-creator of DIY After Dark - a blog which chronicles the projects my husband and I do around our house while our three young kids are asleep (and sometimes when they're awake). I'm a bit of a grammar nerd, a defender of the Oxford comma, (<-- case in point) and advocate for the appropriate use of apostrophes (<-- never when pluralizing something). When I'm not writing, I love spending time with my family, performing, and drinking coffee.
